The Mt. Rokko area presents a series of green mountains running approximately 30 km from east to west. This area is very familiar as the greatest outdoor leisure zone in the Kansai region and Kobe in particular. The night view of the city center and port, as seen from Mt. Rokko and Mt. Maya, has been called “a night view worth ten million dollars.” It’s included among the three great night views in Japan, together with Hakodate and Nagasaki.
